We are pleased to announce that the Freewheel Project will start meeting with the youth Monday June 18! This years program will be 3 hours (9am-12pm) in length and in the AM hours to avoid the extreme heat the valley brings!
Last year with only an hour it made it very tough for kids to hear the speeches, share loaned equipment and get quality riding time on the track! Also with 100 bikes to be awarded at the end of the summer we are expecting a higher volume of kids and more time will be needed.
A list of rules will be handed out to all participants that enroll the first day on how they become eligible for the bicycle and what will cause them to lose the possibility. There is no pre-registration for the program it is first come first serve. Kids will not need their own helmets or bikes to participate but we are encouraging all people to bring what they have because we only have so many bikes to let people use temporarily.
All kids must be wearing long sleeve shirts, pants and shoes. NO shorts, Sandals, or regular shirts. 1 warning will be given.
We are also looking for people willing to volunteer their time to help with the activities this summer! If you are interested please send an email to tonymhoffman@gmail.com with Freewheel Project Volunteer as the subject.
Where = Woodward Park BMX Track (in the back next to the Frisbee Golf course)
Start Date = Monday June 18
